The Cowboys placed Tyson Thompson on injured reserve yesterday, meaning the running back will miss the remainder of the season, according to the Star-Telegram. He broke his left ankle during Sunday's game.

Bill Parcells says he's hesitant to use Tyson Thompson more at running back because he struggles to pick up the blitz, the San Antonio Express-News reports. Thompson had a team-high 195 yards on 40 carries in the preseason. "I know he can run," Parcells said. "It's just the other things we have to worry about. Like blocking the right guy. You can lose your quarterback for the season if you don't block the right guy."
