WR Rashied Davis signed a 1-year tender to remain with the Bears on Friday, this according to the Bears Official Site. “I’m excited to come back and be a part of a winning team,” Davis said. “We’re going to turn what happened last year around and win some more games and there’s also a greater possibility of more playing time for myself with the departure of Muhsin [Muhammad] and Bernard [Berrian].”

The Chicago Bears have sent a qualifying offer to wide receiver Rashied Davis, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Davis, a restricted free agent, was tendered at the low level of $927,000 - and because he was not a draft pick, any team signing him to an offer sheet would not have to compensate Chicago with a draft pick if the Bears decided not to match the offer. With Berrian seemingly headed out of town, the team is trying keep players who are familiar with their scheme. Davis has been utilized more on special teams than at wide receiver during his three-year stay in the Windy City.
