The Chicago Bears have sent a qualifying offer to wide receiver Rashied Davis, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Davis, a restricted free agent, was tendered at the low level of $927,000 - and because he was not a draft pick, any team signing him to an offer sheet would not have to compensate Chicago with a draft pick if the Bears decided not to match the offer. With Berrian seemingly headed out of town, the team is trying keep players who are familiar with their scheme. Davis has been utilized more on special teams than at wide receiver during his three-year stay in the Windy City.
