Santonio Holmes (ankle) is not on the injury report and should be able to play at New England. We'd like to see a full day of work Friday as well, but so far, so good in this case.

Santonio Holmes has been ruled out for Sunday's game, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Holmes continues to battle a high-ankle sprain that may keep him out beyond this weekend. Nate Washington and Cedrick Wilson will see added work again.

Santonio Holmes (ankle) was out of pratice for the second straight day Thursday, making it more likely that he won't be ready for the weekend. The club has yet to officially rule him out, however.

Santonio Holmes (ankle) is unlikely to play Monday against Miami. For now, the Steelers are listing him as doubtful. Nate Washington has some deep-league value if Holmes doesn't make a miraculous recovery.

Santonio Holmes was unable to complete Sunday's game. He sprained his right ankle in the fourth quarter and did not return, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. We should know more about his status for Week 12 later today.

After missing practice Thursday to rest a sore hamstring, Santonio Holmes was back in the mix on Friday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He's expected to start Sunday, but considering he was a late scratch in Week 5 due to the same injury, you should check to make sure he's active before putting him in your lineup.

Santonio Holmes was held out of Thursday's practice as a precaution to rest his tender hamstring, but he told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette he will try to practice Friday and expects to play Sunday against the Browns.

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes has moved past Cedrick Wilson to claim the Steelers starting split end spot. "We want to see what guys do when they get an opportunity to play their game in there with the first group," head coach Mike Tomlin told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "It's part of the evaluation process." Holmes is expected to start the Steelers' upcoming preseason game against the Redskins.

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes will open training camp on the PUP list, but Steelers coach Mike Tomlin predicted his stay there would be temporary. Tomlin told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Holmes “had a minor surgical procedure that’s not football related. He’ll be watching for a day or two but it’s a non-issue.”
