Joseph Addai was active for and during Sunday's game despite his sprained ankle. He carried the ball 15 times for 100 yards and tacked on four receptions for eight yards. Dominic Rhodes had just two carries, as the Colts lost to the Texans.

Colts coach Tony Dungy said that Joseph Addai could have returned to action Monday if necessary, according to the Indianapolis Star. Addai exited the game in the third quarter with a sprained ankle, but it looks like he'll be all right for Week 16. "It's going to be sore, but our thought is he'll be able to go this week," Dungy said.

Joseph Addai was able to practice Thursday despite his sore ankle, the Colts official site reports. Addai is listed as questionable for the moment, though the Colts have been very casual with their listings this year and their questionable designees have been able to play a large amount of the time. The fact that Addai was able to work out in full Thursday is certainly a strong indication that he should be able to play Monday against Cincinnati, but we'll see what we learn in the next few days of practice.

Joseph Addai had a career day for the Colts on Sunday night. Addai carried 24 times for 171 yards and four touchdowns. He added two catches for 37 yards. Dominic Rhodes carried 15 times for 68 yards, but Addai has clearly emerged as the top back on the team.

Joseph Addai didn't get as many carries as Dominic Rhodes on Sunday for the first time in three games. However, Addai still had a great game, despite a wrist injury that had him listed as questionable. Addai carried 13 times for 78 yards and a touchdown and caught seven passes for 46 yards.

Joseph Addai was able to practice Thursday despite his sore wrist, the Colts official site reports. Addai is listed as questionable for Week 10 but given how liberally Tony Dungy is using the questionable tag these days, that might not mean much. With Addai active in practice, it seems extremely likely that he'll play Sunday, barring a setback late in the week.

Even though Joseph Addai carried 14 more times than Dominic Rhodes did in Week 8, coach Tony Dungy still plans to alternate the two backs in the future, according to the Indianapolis Star. Addai is averaging 5.1 YPC this year compared to Rhodes' 3.1.

Coach Tony Dungy has stated that he plans to continue to rotate Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes like he did the first two games, according to the Indianapolis Star. "Those guys are doing fine," Dungy said. "As I've said before, one guy may be hot one game. It may be a different type of game. Joseph had the better stats yesterday, but Dom played really well."

Joseph Addai saw extensive work for the Colts in Week 2, leading the team with 16 rushing attempts for 82 yards. Addai also caught two passes for 22 yards and a touchdown. He had an opportunity for a goal-line touchdown but fumbled the ball into the end zone. He played about an equal amount as Dominic Rhodes, who rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

The Colts and Joseph Addai agreed on a five-year contract on Saturday, according to the AP. The contract includes $4.7 million in guaranteed money and a maximum value of $11.17 million. He is expected to compete with Dominic Rhodes for playing time.
