According to the official website, Jets' quarterback Kellen Clemens will start the team's first preseason games against the Rams. Clemens is still battling rookie Mark Sanchez for the starting job.

According to the New York Daily News, Jets's coach Rex Ryan told the media on Thursday that Kellen Clemens will enter training camp as the team's number one quarterback. The competition will remain open, however, and rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez will still battle for the starting job.

The New York Daily News is reporting that Jets' quarterback Kellen Clemens is clearly ahead of rookie Mark Sanchez after 11 OTA practices. Sanchez was said to be lost at times, and Clemens apparently played much better towards the end of the OTAs after a rough start.
