Tony Scheffler sprained his left ankle against the Steelers on Sunday night, and X-rays came back negative. He may miss some practice time this week, the Rocky Mountain News reports. The Broncos host the Packers on Monday night in Week 8, and Scheffler would be a decent fantasy play if healthy.

Tony Scheffler had five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. However, he sustained an injury to his left leg during the final drive, according to the Denver Post. We'll have to wait to see how serious the leg injury is, but since the team lost tight ends Nate Jackson and Stephen Alexander for the season and WR Javon Walker is out for at least six weeks, a healthy Scheffler should see plenty more passes coming his way.

Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan tells the Rocky Mountain News that both Tony Scheffler and wide receiver Brandon Marshall are full-go after dealing with injuries. Scheffler opened camp on the PUP after breaking a bone in his left foot on May 18. Marshall dealt with a sore left thigh for the first two weeks of camp.

Tony Scheffler has been practicing, but he's still not 100 percent. He broke a bone in his left foot during minicamp on May 18. "Every day, it gets a little better, but I'm still not able to make some of the cuts I need to be out there playing," Scheffler tells the Rocky Mountain News. "So it's frustrating. It's definitely frustrating. But slowly but surely, I think it will be ready."

Tony Scheffler came off the PUP list on Tuesday, but he did not do much in practice. He worked for about 45 minutes. "It's something, and I think each day I'll be on the field a little more than the last," Scheffler tells the Denver Post. Scheffler broke a bone in his left foot during minicamp on May 18 and hopes to play in the second preseason game on August 18.

July 29, 2007
Tony Scheffler will begin training camp on the PUP list, as he continues to recover from a broken bone in his foot. He should be back in a matter of days, according to the Denver Post. Even if he's at full speed when the season starts, the arrival of Daniel Graham will limit Scheffler's fantasy impact.
July 11, 2007
Tony Scheffler's broken bone in his foot is progressing well, but it's still unclear if he'll be ready to go when training camp opens, according to the Rocky Mountain News. "I'm kind of in their hands and they've stressed to me I should be about ready to go come camp," he said. "But it's kind of hard to guess what will happen in the next two or three weeks." This injury, combined with the acquisition of Daniel Graham, leaves Scheffler's fantasy value limited.
