Charlie Whitehurst will serve as the Chargers' No. 2 quarterback behind Philip Rivers now that A.J. Feeley has been released, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. "That definitely shows some confidence in me," Whitehurst said. "I think I've got some things accomplished, for sure. I'm in a position where I can help the team now. . . . I'll definitely be ready to go." Whitehurst is 20-of-38 for 166 yards, with no touchdowns, two interceptions and a 42.2 rating this preseason.
