Brandon Marshall says his preseason knee injury is completely healed and he expects to play this week against Kansas City, the Denver Post reports. Marshall, who could eventually emerge as Denver's No. 3 receiver, hasn't played since he suffered the injury Aug. 11 in the preseason opener at Detroit.

Coach Mike Shanahan stated that Brandon Marshall, who is recovering from a right knee sprain, did not play on Sunday because his conditioning wasn't where it needed to be, according to the Rocky Mountain News. However, Shanahan expects Marshall to be available this week.

The Denver Post reports that Brandon Marshall will be the Broncos' No. 3 receiver when he returns to action. Marshall is recovering from minor knee surgery and should take part in Thursday's preseason finale.

Initially believed to be only a bruised knee, an MRI revealed that Brandon Marshall actually has a slightly torn PCL in the joint, according to the Denver Post. The receiver is expected to miss 2-3 weeks, though coach Mike Shanahan said he is hopeful that Marshall will be ready for the preseason finale. He's been competing with Darius Watts for the No. 3 receiving role.

Brandon Marshall injured his knee on Friday night and was forced to leave the game, according to the Rocky Mountain News. However, the injury is just a bruise and Marshall shouldn't be out for an extended period of time.
