Brandon Marshall ran with the first-string offense on Wednesday and plans to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys. "I’ll play this week," he tells the team's official web site. Brandon Marshall finally came off the PUP list on Friday and took part in his first practice of training camp. Marshall has been out with a strained left thigh and still is not 100 percent, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Coach Mike Shanahan said Marshall still has to work through some scar tissue, but it looks like the wide receiver is headed in the right direction. If he can get healthy, Marshall has a great shot at starting across from Javon Walker.

Brandon Marshall continues to languish on the PUP list due to a sore left thigh, and he's trying not to get too down. "Right now, I know the toughest thing is to stay in it mentally, keeping up in the playbook," Marshall tells the Rocky Mountain News. "I'm definitely frustrated. It can take a toll on you physically and mentally." He suffered the injury in the mid-June minicamp and aggravated it in an early-July workout. Marshall says his quad still feels "weak" at times, especially when he cuts. A recent MRI showed that the ailment is healing, but he is working without a timetable.

Brandon Marshall ran on a treadmill on Wednesday. Now he needs to get on the field. "He did pretty good on the treadmill yesterday. But as I told him, a guy that keeps getting hurt, we can't waste repetitions on a guy that's not out there," head coach Mike Shanahan tells the Denver Post. "We've got to have guys who can stay healthy. Brandon has a lot of ability, a big upside." Marshall strained his left quad in a mid-June minicamp and missed more workouts in early July.

Brandon Marshall will begin training camp on the PUP list. He's expected to miss 7-10 days due to a quadriceps injury sustained during the offseason, according to the Denver Post. "I'm frustrated," Marshall said. "I want to practice, not be injured." If he can get on the field in that timeframe, he'll have a great chance to start opposite Javon Walker, since Rod Smith is far from healthy right now.

Brandon Marshall practiced with the first-team Broncos offense Wednesday, as Rod Smith is coming off hip surgery, the Denver Post reports. Marshall is an interesting sleeper for 2007; he caught 14 passes in Jay Cutler's five starts last year. Marshall is also coming off a domestic assault charge from earlier in 2007, but he insists that won't be a problem. "One little mistake blows up to something big," Marshall said. "Now you just have to gain the trust of your teammates and coaches. I'm not a thug, I'm not a gangster, none of that. I graduated college. All through high school, all through college, I was honor roll every year. You can Google it if you want to."
