Bruce Gradkowski was pulled from Sunday's game in the second quarter after completing just 5-of-11 passes for 37 yards. Tim Rattay played exceptionally well in relief, and it's likely that Gradkowski has started his last game this season.

In his press conference on Monday, Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden said that he expected that Bruce Gradkowski would start in Week 15 despite being benched in the fourth quarter on Sunday. Gruden did allow that Tim Rattay would get extra practice time this week.

Bruce Gradkowski struggled for the Bucs again Sunday, completing just 13-of-24 passes for 121 yards before being benched late in the fourth quarter in favor of veteran Tim Rattay. There is no immediate work on whether the QB switch in Tampa will be permanent.

Coach Jon Gruden will stick with Bruce Gradkowski as the team's starting quarterback for the time being, according to the Tampa Tribune. "We obviously looked at the film all morning," Gruden said. "I don't foresee a QB change." Gradkowski has five interceptions and no touchdowns over the last two weeks.

Bucs coach Jon Gruden strongly hinted after yesterday's game that he might bench Bruce Gradkowski, according to the St. Petersburg Times. Gradkowski had 175 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions in a losing effort Sunday. It looks like Tim Rattay my be under center for this week's game versus the Falcons.

Coach Jon Gruden declared that Bruce Gradkowski will be the team's starting quarterback the rest of the season, despite the team's offensive struggles, according to the Tampa Tribune. "The guy that's going to play is No. 7," Gruden said when asked if Luke McCown or Tim Rattay would be given a chance to play. "Gradkowski is going to be the quarterback."

Making his first NFL start, rookie Bruce Gradkowski had a fine game for the Buccaneers on Sunday. Gradkowski completed 20-of-31 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. He did lose a fumble.

Bruce Gradkowski might be used at times in a shotgun formation, the Tampa Tribune reports. Head coach Jon Gruden in the past hasn't been a fan of the formation. Gradkowski worked in the shotgun regularly in college, but says he's comfortable working under center. The rookie makes his first pro start Sunday at New Orleans.

Bruce Gradkowski has essentially wrapped up the No. 2 quarterback job behind starter Chris Simms, according to the St. Petersburg Times. Coach Jon Gruden may leave the Gradkowski inactive for the first game, so he won't have to toss a rookie out if Simms goes down. But if Simms is out long-term, Gradkowksi should end up starting over Tim Rattay. "His mobility, his creativity, his understanding of what we are doing are very impressive," said Gruden. "He has a great future ahead of himself. I wanted to learn about the two (backup) quarterbacks that we have that are healthy and I think we did and we'll make that determination as we move ahead."

Bruce Gradkowski is expected to take over as the Bucs No. 3 quarterback now that Jay Fiedler has been released, according to the AP. Gradkowksi, a sixth round pick this year, is behind Chris Simms and Tim Rattay.
