If you can glean anything positive out of John Beck's NFL debut, it is that he established a bit of a connection with fellow rookie Ted Ginn. Ginn led the Dolphins with four catches for 52 yards, both season highs.

Ted Ginn feels he's ready to step in and contribute more now that Chris Chambers has been traded. "I've showed a lot in practice, and I hope it carries over to the field," Ginn told the Miami Herald. "Being out there for 60 or 70 plays, just getting back into the routine of playing a ballgame, I'm ready for it. I've been growing in the passing game, but when Chris was here, it was just hard for me to get out there." Derek Hagan is expected to start opposite Marty Booker, but Ginn will have an increased role in the offense.

Dolphins wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. has been named the team’s primary punt returner, according to the team’s official website. Ginn will also see the field on offense when the Dolphins are in three and four wide receiver sets.
August 26, 2007
The Miami Herald reports Ted Ginn has emerged as the team’s No. 3 wideout, although he’s no longer the leading candidate to return kicks. If you were planning on getting return yardage from Ginn, this is bad news. However, it appears he’s going to see the field a good deal and is worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues. Expect plenty of inconsistency during his rookie season, though.

With Marty Booker sidelined for a second straight day, Ted Ginn was elevated to the first team during practice on Thursday, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Ted Ginn has reported to Dolphins camp ahead of owner Wayne Huizenga’s deadline after agreeing to a six-year contract. According to the Miami Herald, the deal can void to five years, though financial terms were not immediately available. Ginn will be on the field for the team’s first training camp practice on Saturday, thus avoiding a showdown with Huizenga after he had claimed any rookie holdouts would be in danger of sitting out the entire season.

Ted Ginn missed the Dolphins first day of rookie camp on Tuesday, but the receiver is apparently not yet in danger of testing owner Wayne Huizenga's previous statement that any rookie that doesn't report to camp on time will be benched for the entire 2007 season. "Training camp officially starts on Friday," coach Cam Cameron told the Miami Herald. Ginn is believed to be very close to completing a contract agreement.

Ted Ginn is close to finalizing a contract with the Dolphins as the team's first-year players report for the start of training camp this week. According to the Miami Herald, Ginn and his agent are believed to be very close to signing on the dotted line, with the main terms of the deal already being agreed upon.

Teddy Ginn was on the field and participating in drills on Friday during the first day of Dolphins minicamp. Coach Cam Cameron told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that Ginn is "90-plus" percent recovered from the sprained foot that has hampered him since January. It was unclear when Ginn might get back on the field, but we obviously now have our answer. We'll keep a close eye on his progress this week, but it's unlikely we'll learn how much of a role the rookie will have in the offense until training camp.
May 28, 2007
Teddy Ginn is scheduled to join the Dolphins June 7, a day before their next minicamp gets underway, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. That's the soonest he can report due NCAA rules, which don't allow underclassmen to report until after his school's graduation. That will be the first test for his seriously injured foot.
April 29, 2007
Teddy Ginn's seriously injured foot should be healed in about a month, according to the Sun-Sentinel. "The foot is going to be fine," Ginn said. "I'm just taking it slowly and rehabbing and doing all the things [doctors] have asked me to do to be 100 percent." The Dolphins weren't buying the hype on Brady Quinn, like many teams yesterday, and picked Ginn with the ninth overall pick.
April 28, 2007
In arguably the most controversial pick of the draft on Saturday, the Dolphins picked wide receiver Teddy Ginn with the No. 9 overall pick. He was taken despite the fact that Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn was still on the board.
