The Dolphins are working to upgrade their roster as Tuesday's 4pm deadline passed for teams to pare their rosters to 75 players, scouring the waiver wire with hopes of identifying new free agents to consider, according to the Miami Herald. The Dolphins have the first right of refusal on waived players with less than four years of experience because they finished a league-worst 1-15 last season. Miami is treating this like another draft and could be looking to add players at wide receiver, offensive line and linebacker. The Dolphins' roster stood at 72 players before the cutdown deadline because the front office wanted room to sign players without being forced to create spots. Bill Parcells, the executive vice president of football operations, and general manager Jeff Ireland were active on their cellphones inside the Dolphins' indoor practice bubble Tuesday morning and likely will be spending considerable time on the phone the next several days. The Dolphins also are preparing for Saturday's 4pm deadline, when teams must cut their roster to the regular-season maximum 53 players.

It's jumping off the film how fast he's playing." Miami's quarterbacks are finding him more often in practice and that, Sparano said, is a sign Ginn is inching closer to fulfilling his promise. "All of a sudden, the ball's finding him," Sparano said. "That tells me the game's slowing down a little for Ted."
