This will be his first chance as a coordinator, and he will be charged with bringing some new ideas and tactics to an offense that ranked 30th in the NFL the past two seasons. This won't be the first time Schonert calls plays in the NFL. When he was quarterbacks coach in New Orleans in 2005, he called plays when the Saints went no-huddle and were in the two-minute drill. Schonert was a quarterback during his career, so he brings a unique perspective to the play calling duties.
