DeShawn Wynn is not happy about being placed on injured reserve and is seeking a second opinion on his injured neck. “I didn’t feel like it was (season-ending), but I’m not doctor,” Wynn told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy declined to say on Thursday whether Brandon Jackson or DeShawn Wynn will start on Sunday against the Chargers. “I understand it’s a production business,” McCarthy told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “DeShawn’s done some very good things, but I’m very pleased with what Brandon Jackson has done.” Jackson started the first two games.

Head coach Mike McCarthy was vague on Monday regarding his backfield situation. However, the Green Bay Press-Gazette speculates that DeShawn Wynn could replace Brandon Jackson as the primary halfback. Wynn took 10 carries for 50 yards and a touchdown on Sunday against the Giants.

Brandon Jackson got the start again for the Packers on Sunday, but it was DeShawn Wynn who starred in the backfield. Wynn, a seventh-round draft pick out of Florida, picked up 50 yards on 10 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns, including one from 38 yards out. Wynn also caught two passes for 18 yards. Jackson managed only 35 yards on 17 carries.
