Craig Davis did not practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. He is still expected to play on Sunday against the Vikings.

If things weren’t bad enough for the Chargers at 1-3, rookie wideout Craig Davis may miss Sunday’s game with a sprained ankle. Davis is listed as questionable on the injury report, and Chargers coach, Norv Turner said he would be a game-time decision.

Craig Davis caught two passes for 48 yards and reeled in a 40-yard touchdown on Thursday night. He missed the previous game following surgery to have his wisdom teeth removed. "I've seen him make those plays on the left side and the right side in practice," quarterback Philip Rivers tells the team's official web site. "It wasn't a surprise, but it was good to see him get in the end zone." Davis will likely enter the year as the No. 3 wideout.

"He's still very sore and his jaw is very swollen," head coach Norv Turner tells the team's official web site. "Today was the first day he could put a helmet on because his jaw was so swollen. He practiced, but you could tell he's missed a few days."
