The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Brandon Jackson has made a strong case to be considered the Packers' starting tailback every time he touches the ball. Of course, Ryan Grant, who is holding out for more money after rushing a football in 14 NFL games, is still considered the starter. "As far as everything we thought (Jackson) was capable of being and doing, we’re starting to see more of that," running backs coach Edgar Bennett said. "We saw that last year, but now you’re seeing it more on a consistent basis. The sky’s the limit for him. I’m not going to say it just to say it. I mean it."

Ryan Grant’s absence in camp due to a hold out has Brandon Jackson in a familiar position: playing the lion’s share of practice snaps at running back with the No. 1 offense. Last year, Vernand Morency was injured on the first day of camp, lumping carries on the then-rookie Jackson the rest of the way. “It helps me out a lot for this year and everything that’s going on right now,” Jackson said. “So, I’ve just got to take it in. It’ll be better than last year. I’m understanding the offense, understanding the scheme and have a year under my belt, so I’m ready.” Jackson said he’s kept on the 10 to 15 pounds he added during the offseason program.

He's going to contribute, definitely as a running back, and he may be one of our best special-teams players. Brandon Jackson, what he established later in the year, I'm excited about him." This is encouraging news for Jackson and his fantasy stock should remain on the rise.
