Nick Folk becomes the first Cowboys' kicker since 1981 to make the Pro Bowl and first rookie since Emmitt Smith in 1990 according to the team's official website. Folk finished fourth in the NFL and second in the NFC in scoring with 131 points. He also set a Cowboys scoring record for place-kickers. Folk became a household fantasy name kicking for Dallas' high octane offense and will be one of the top kickers drafted in most 2008 fantasy formats.

Kicker Nick Folk kicked four field goals, including a 53-yard last-second game winner in the Cowboys 25-24 victory over the Bills on Monday night. Folk originally made the game winner, which was blown dead due to a Bills timeout, then re-nailed it on the second attempt. He also added an extra point.

Nick Folk revealed on Monday that he injured his left ankle in Week 1, but he has been performing through the pain. Folk tells the Dallas Morning News that the ankle is not an issue during games.

Nick Folk has won the battle to be the Cowboys kicker, made official when Martin Gramatica went on injured reserve Saturday.

Nick Folk handled all the duties on Thursday night, but his teammates only offered up three kickoffs and two extra points. He is battling Martin Gramatica for the starting job, and the veteran was out due to a strained right hamstring. "Not everything was going well for the offense today," Folk tells the team's official web site. "It's just one of those days, kind of. Can't do much about it, and you just keep working and getting better."
