After tearing his hamstring in the Redskins' final preseason game on Thursday, Colt Brennan has been placed on injured reserve and will miss the entire 2009 season.

Colt Brennan fared much better in the Redskins' final preseason outing, but he left the game early with a hamstring injury. Brennan went 10-for-14 passing for 83 yards before the injury.

The Washington Times is reporting that Redskins' quarterback Colt Brennan is battling with rookie Chase Daniel to be the team's third quarterback. It was thought that Brennan would challenge to be the number two, but he has struggled this preseason and is no longer in contention.

Colt Brennan, the talk of Redskins camp to this point, didn't help his candidacy to replace Todd Collins as the team's backup on Thursday night. The second-year pro was just 4-of-12 for 43 yards, while taking three sacks and throwing an interception.
