Joe Horn stated on Monday that he would like to be traded rather than serve as a "just in case guy" with the Falcons this season, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Horn said, "I want to win a Super Bowl and I want to win a Super Bowl here in Atlanta, but I don't think I can help this team win a Super Bowl sitting on the bench, waiting for third down."

Joe Horn will be evaluated at the mini-camp three weeks prior to the 2008 NFL draft to see if he is a good fit as the No. 4 receiver in Atlanta, according to Pro Football Weekly. The report states that Roddy White, Michael Jenkins and Laurent Robinson are entrenched in the top three spots. The organization will likely burn a second-day draft selection on a wide receiver if they decide to part ways with Horn, who is well past his prime.

Joe Horn is making a good impression during his first training camp with the Falcons. “I’m surprised that Joe Horn has been out here at every practice,” Joey Harrington told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Thursday. “That’s a testament to what kind of worker that he is.” Horn was given the Thursday evening practice off by the coaches.
