Joe Horn is making a good impression during his first training camp with the Falcons. “I’m surprised that Joe Horn has been out here at every practice,” Joey Harrington told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Thursday. “That’s a testament to what kind of worker that he is.” Horn was given the Thursday evening practice off by the coaches.

The Saints released Joe Horn on Thursday, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "Joe really wanted to see where his value is around the league for his services," general manager Mickey Loomis said. "With as much as Joe has meant to the Saints and to New Orleans, we don't want to impede his desire to do so, and we have kept the door open for him to return to our team." Horn played in only 10 games in 2006 because of groin issues, catching 37 balls for 679 yards and four TDs.

Joe Horn went through part of Wednesday's practice but sat out other parts, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "Let me try to break it down to you -- I have a partial tear of my groin muscle, and the doctor told me it's a six-to-eight-week process," Horn said. "I felt good running today in practice, but I have to show that I'm good enough to run for my coach, and I understand that, too." It's not clear if Horn could play in the NFC Championship Game.
