The New England Patriots recently sent a high-ranking member of their coaching staff to meet with quarterback Josh Johnson for a private workout, according to the Boston Globe. As part of their draft preparation, the Patriots hold private workouts for several prospects. In most cases, they most accurately represent that the team is seeking more information before giving the player a final ranking on the draft board. Johnson ran a position best 4.55 40-yard dash at the combine and has a live arm, but his fundamentals need a lot of work. He is projected as a fifth rounder in this yearÂ’s draft.
