Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones stated that vet Terry Glenn has a 50-50 shot to start in 2008, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Terry Glenn still appears to be in the plans of the Cowboys as they try to find a compliment to Terrell Owens if you ask owner Jerry Jones, according to the Dallas Morning News. "I am thinking positive about Terry Glenn. I don't have any idea how he is going to continue to go, but he is going to be very much a part of our plans," Jones said.

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t ruled out the return of veteran receiver Terry Glenn, but they also are looking at their options to acquire a veteran receiver via trade, according to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram. "I don't want to dismiss that we could look at a veteran situation, and we could look at a veteran situation before the draft," owner Jerry Jones said. "This is that time of year when you do get good value for players, and picks for players get good value. Players are depreciated right now right before the draft; picks are premium. You've got to have your eyes open, and that's what we're doing." Terrell Owens is getting up there in age, and the players behind him on the depth chart are inexperienced. Look for Dallas to continue to explore trade options including Chad Johnson, Roy Williams and Anquan Boldin.

Terry Glenn has opted against undergoing mircrofracture surgery, according to the Dallas Morning News. "I'm excited about coming back, and I'm glad the team has the confidence in me to return," Glenn said. "I think we have a great team, and I want to be a part of it. I'm very thankful to be around great ownership." He's going to need the procedure at some point but aims to play through his ailing knee next season. Considering he had two surgeries on it and took part in just eight games last season, it's hard to believe he can pull it off in 2008.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expects Terry Glenn to be a factor in 2008. Glenn missed nearly all of the 2007 season while recovering from a pair of knee surgeries. "I don't know (if he can be the same guy)," Jones told the Dallas Morning News. "All I know is he got real impressive a couple weeks before our playoff game. That still is not the complete picture of what he can and will do relative to our receivers. But he's going be a factor." If Glenn does return, he'll likely battle Patrick Crayton for a starting job opposite Terrell Owens.
