Michael Strahan has turned down the Giants and decided to stay retired, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. The Giants were hoping Strahan would come back to replace the injured Osi Umenyiora. "This has been one of the toughest nights of my life," Strahan said from Greece. "But after long deliberation and throwing around a million scenarios in my head for the past day, I think it's just best if I stay retired."

He was vacationing in Greece when Umenyiora went down over the weekend. Along with the $8 million, Strahan would like "a few kind words" from the team for him to consider coming back.
