CAMP OBJECTIVES: The first training camp of the Mike Smith era is likely to
include a great deal of focus on revamping the league's 29th-ranked scoring
defense of a year ago. Smith, the former Jaguars defensive coordinator, needs
to locate a reliable group from a roster now without former staples DeAngelo

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Joe Horn will report to camp on time despite openly requesting a trade to a contender in the offseason. "We will do everything that is mandatory," Horn's agent, Ralph Vitolo said Thursday morning. "He'll be ready to roll. He's under contract and unless he's traded, Joe will be there, he'll work hard, be professional and compete for a starting job."
Jamaal Anderson has been working on his technique in order to get better, in an effort to improve on his poor performance his rookie season, according to Pro Football Weekly.
