Josh McCown, QB Friday 5/9, 11:23 AM CT
Josh McCown is excited about competing for the starting quarterback job in Miami this season, according to the Palm Beach Post. McCown said, "As long as the guys in the building tell me it's an open competition, I could care less what fans or media say. At the end of the day, from what I've been told and am experiencing at the facility, it's a three-man race. I have a lot of experience to help me. But it also will help the whole group. I want to play and be the starter, but if someone ends up in front of me, then he'll be pretty good. This is the last chance I'll get to compete like this."
Davone Bess, WR Wednesday 5/7, 11:34 AM CT
The Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms with Hawaii free agent receiver Davone Bess, according to USA Today. "The Dolphins realize what they had in Wes Welker, and that's what Davone can bring them. I'd be shocked if he didn't contribute right away," said Kenny Zuckerman, who represented Bess in the negotiations.

Jason Taylor, DE Monday 5/5, 7:20 AM CT
Tony Sparano stated that the feud between Jason Taylor and the Dolphins, namely with Bill Parcells, was "overblown", according to the Sun Sentinel. Sparano added that as long as he and Taylor continue to communicate everything is fine.
Jalen Parmele, RB Sunday 5/4, 5:56 PM CT
Running back Jalen Parmele has stood out during the team's weekend minicamp, and it's believed he will be the No. 3 back behind Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in 2008, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Lorenzo Booker, RB Friday 5/2, 10:46 AM CT
The Philadelphia Eagles trade for running back Lorenzo Booker provides the organization with the ability to be more creative on offense in 2008, according to the Trenton Times. "He's somebody we really liked in the draft last year, but we couldn't pull it off where we were able to get him," head coach Andy Reid said of Booker, whose presence will allow Westbrook to line up more in the slot. "I think he and Brian on the field will be a nice combination for our offense."
