Pack’s 30-21 defeat at Tampa Bay the previous week, and acquitted himself

Gus Frerotte took a beating in the Vikings Monday night game against the Saints and on Tuesday the veteran said he was feeling fine. Frerotte told the Minneapolis Star Tribune, "I was just dizzy. Some birds flying around my head."
Antoine Winfield had a career game on Monday night against the Saints and was rewarded with the NFC defensive player of the week, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Vikings coach Brad Childress was none too pleased with punter Chris Kluwe for kicking the ball to Reggie Bush Monday night, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "When you say to somebody kick the ball out of bounds, that's what you expect to happen. That's what I expect to happen with a professional football kicker. You know what? If he can't do that, I'll find someone that can kick the ball out of bounds," Childress remarked.
