Jets ink free agent S Leonhard, re-sign FB Richardson Florham Park, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Jets agreed to terms with
unrestricted free agent safety Jim Leonhard and re-signed fullback Tony
Richardson to a one-year deal on Tuesday.
Terms of Leonhard's contract were not disclosed, but according to the NFL
Network, the deal is for three years. Richardson signed for $500,000.
Leonhard, a four-year pro, appeared in 16 games, including 13 starts for
Baltimore last season. A key member of the No. 2 ranked Ravens defense in

The New York Post is reporting that Jets' backup tight end Ben Hartsock could be benched by coach Rex Ryan. Ryan is angry that Hartsock has committed three debilitating penalties that cost his team dearly in recent games.
Thomas Jones was a standout for the Jets in today's 30-25 loss to the Dolphins in the Meadowlands, as he racked up 102 rushing yards on 27 carries. He also caught one pass for 28 receiving yards.
