Rams sign CB Bartell St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Rams re-signed free agent
cornerback Ron Bartell to a four-year contract on Wednesday.
"It was apparent to us that Ron fits the mold we are looking for in our
defensive players," said St. Louis head coach Steve Spagnuolo. "Ron is a good
player and an even better person. We are glad he will be a part of our team."
Bartell played in all 16 games with a career-high 14 starts in 2008. He tied
his career high with three interceptions and added 20 passes defensed, which
is a best for him.
The Twitter page of the St. Louis Rams is reporting that offensive guard Richie Incognito missed practice on Wednesday. Incognito is being called "very doubtful" for this week's game.
