P.J. Axelsson traveled with the B's to Ottawa only intending to take part in their Thursday morning skate, according to the Boston Globe. However, his injured right foot felt well enough for him to return to game action in the evening. He played with a plastic guard in his boot to protect the injury and was held scoreless, but it was nice to have him back in the mix earlier than expected.

January 30, 2008
P.J. Axelsson missed his seventh straight game Tuesday as he continues to battle a foot injury. It's not known when he'll be able to return to action.

January 20, 2008
P.J. Axelsson (bruised foot) sat out his third straight game Saturday. He's probably out for another week.
