The Coyotes have locked up former Red Wing Boyd Devereaux to a one-year deal, according to the Detroit Free Press. "Boyd was looking for fresh opportunities with a clean slate," Red Wings GM Ken Holland said. "We made a pitch to keep him prior to July 1, at a big pay decrease. I wish him well."

The Red Wings won't pick up the $1.6 million option on the contract of Boyd Devereaux for next season, but they may be interested in signing him to a lesser salary, according to the Detroit News.
