Kevyn Adams tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee during Wednesday's game. He's slated to undergo surgery once the swelling goes down at some point during the next couple of weeks, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Realistically, he's done for the season, though there's a slim chance he could help out if the Blackhawks make the postseason.

The Coyotes sent Kevyn Adams to the Blackhawks Sunday in exchange for Radim Vrbata. Adams was acquired in January from the Hurricanes and played 33 games with Phoenix last season, notching eight points. Vrbata set career highs in points (41) and assists (27) last year in Chicago.

Kevyn Adams signed a one-year, $650,000 contract extension with the Coyotes Tuesday, according to the Canadian Press. Adams has seven points in 49 games this season.

Kevyn Adams returned to action for last night's game. He had been out since Jan. 20 with a bacterial infection in his wrist. With a minus-17 rating and just four points on the season, this news should have no bearing on fantasy rosters.

Coach Wayne Gretzky said that Feb. 15 is a likely return date for Kevyn Adams, according to the Arizona Republic. Adams skated Saturday for the first time since having infected tissue surgically removed from his left wrist. "This has been very difficult," Adams said. "I was just starting to get comfortable with the guys and the team's system. . . . You never want to miss any games, but when your team is playing such huge games you want to be out there contributing and doing the things the team brought you in here to do."
