Brian Boucher made his 2005 season debut on Saturday night, stopping 33 shots in a 4-1 loss at Los Angeles. Boucher injured his groin in a shootout following the Coyotes first preseason game and had been on injured reserve since then. He was activated Thursday following a two-week conditioning assignment in the AHL.

The Coyotes re-signed Brian Boucher to a one-year contract on Tuesday, according to the AP. He posted a 10-19-10 record and 2.74 goals-against average in 40 games for Phoenix in 2003-04, and set the modern record for consecutive shutouts and the longest scoreless stretch.
