Brian Boucher resigned with the Sharks to provide a veteran presence behind superstar goalie Evgeni Nabokov, according to the Sharks Official Website. “Brian came in and played very well for us down the stretch,” said GM Doug Wilson. “With his regular season and postseason experience, it gives us a goaltending tandem that is second-to-none in the NHL.”

Brian Boucher made 23 saves in his first start of the season on Saturday night helping the Sharks beat the Blues 2-0. Boucher, a former first-round draft pick and member of the NHL's all-rookie team in 1999-2000, was claimed off waivers from the Blackhawks on Tuesday.
