Kevin Weekes took a loss in a rare start Saturday and tweaked his groin in the process. "I'm fine. I just felt a little tweak," Weekes said, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. "Hopefully it's nothing too serious. It's not specifically the groin. It's the outer mid-part of my leg." As Marty Brodeur's backup, Weekes was making just his first start since Dec. 10, so even if he misses time with an injury ... he won't actually be missed.

The Devils signed Kevin Weekes to a one-year contract on Thursday. He posted a 4-6-2 record for the Rangers last year.

Kevin Weekes is still considered day-to-day with his quadriceps injury, the Rangers official site reports. Look for the team to give Henrik Lundqvist just about every start down the stretch.
