Brendan Morrison finally scored his first point of the season in his fifth game as the Ducks defeated the Sharks 4-0. Morrison had an assist and was a +3 on the night as were four other Ducks (Teemu Selanne, Ryan Carter, Francois Beauchemin and Nathan McIver).

Free agent center Brendan Morrison will sign with the Anaheim Ducks, this according to TSN of Canada. Terms of the impending contract have yet to be announced, but the deal is expected to be for one-to-two years. The report notes that Morrison turned down a one-year, $1.9 million offer from the Vancouver Canucks, the team he has spent the past eight seasons with. Morrison is still rehabbing from an April 7th knee surgery.

Coach Alain Vigneault said that Brendan Morrison is still two to three weeks away from a return, according to the Vancouver Sun. Morrison is coming back from December wrist surgery. The Canucks are in the thick of the playoff race and would welcome Morrison back into the lineup. He's playable in fantasy, as well, though it may take him a few games to shake the rust off when he does come back.
