Tomas Kaberle registered his first career hat trick on Saturday and added another goal in the shootout. "I don't know what to say. I've waited eight years now to score a hat trick," said Kaberle. "Obviously I'm not there to score hat tricks. I'm there to keep it simple on the back end and get the passes to the guys on offense. That's my game."

Tomas Kaberle will skip tonight's exhibition game due to a minor groin strain, according to the Toronto Star. "We're being very cautious," said coach Paul Maurice. "It's very mild. It's not a concern for us to get us back on the ice. He may well be on the ice (today.)"
