The AP reports that the Colorado Avalanche have terminated the contract of enforcer Scott Parker for insubordination. He refused to report to Lake Erie of the American Hockey League on October 17.

TSN reports that the Avalanche have placed forward Scott Parker on waivers.

Scott Parker has been activated from the injured reserve, and assigned to Lake Erie of the AHL, according to the AP. Parker had been sidelined since suffering a concussion during the preseason.
