Manny Legace will have to battle for playing time with newly acquired Chris Mason, but the club expects Legace to continue to hold down the top spot, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch. "They're our goaltenders, and if Manny plays as well as he has in the past, he'll get lots of playing time," GM John Davidson said. "Chris is going to come in and help us, and if they push each other, that's wonderful.

Manny Legace recorded his fifth shutout of the season, and 27th of his career, in leading the Blues to a 3-0 victory over the Blue Jackets. Legace's numbers have really fallen since the all-star break including a 2.67 GAA in 28 games before today, but a five shutout, 27 win season from your goaltender certainly are numbers you can live with.

Manny Legace has been slowed by a hip flexor injury but he is expected to start in goal against Nashville on Wednesday, according to the St. Louis Dispatch. He holds a 26-25 record over 65 games played this season.
