Chris Mason skated Saturday morning, the first time he's been on the ice since undergoing an emergency appendectomy on Oct. 16, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He's expected to be available for the Blues next game on Thursday. "There's no pain or anything," Mason said. "Hopefully that means I'm good to go. But I think I'm going to take some shots (on the ice) and go from there."

The Blues have acquired goalie Chris Mason from the Predators in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the draft, according to Slam Sports. Blues' president John Davidson said, "Acquiring Chris really solidifies our goaltending position which was one of our goals going into this weekend. Backup Dan Ellis didn't do much better allowing three goals on 14 shots as the team continues to search for consistency in net.
