Dan Boyle is apparently happy to be a member of the Sharks, but if you ask his old lightning coach John Tortorella, Boyle was mistreated and basically forced out of Tampa, according to the Tampa Tribune. "How you treat your people and run your business is very important in this league. I look at the club and how some things have been done and how they treated Danny Boyle and really lying to the kid, and some of the other things that have gone on there, it's a total different team."

Dan Boyle has waived his no-trade clause and has been dealt to the San Jose Sharks, according to TSN.com. The Lightning are said to be receiving defenseman Matt Carle, a first round draft pick, a prospect and a 4th round pick in return.

Dan Boyle is being shopped to teams around the league, according to Slam Sports. Boyle signed a six-year, $39 million deal with the team in February that includes a no-trade clause, and if he does not lift it, the team may decide to waive him.

Dan Boyle failed to record a point for the Lightning from the blueline on Monday. Boyle has still been very productive in March with 10 points in his last 13 games though he has failed to record a goal in 15 games. Boyle could be undervalued next season since he will likely finish with less than 30 points, he currently has 24, but don't forget about him next year as he could easily return to the 50-point level with health.

Dan Boyle will have his name removed from the list of players who might be traded as he agreed to a 6-year contract extension worth $40 million to stay with the Lightning, this according to the AP. A conspiratorial mind might see this big time signing as a sign that the team will indeed unload Brad Richards and his hefty salary. We will know in about 16 hours.
