Other than Nik Antropov, the Leafs don't really have another top-6 forward on their current roster according to the assessment of GM Cliff Fletcher in a story of The Fan 590. "If you look at our club, we really have only one player you can consider a top-six forward, and that’s [Nik] Antropov,” said the GM. "We have a couple others [including Alexei Ponikarovsky] that are on the fringe of the top-six, but no one else."

Nik Antropov could be Toronto's top center next season, according to the Toronto Sun. He said, "It would take a while to get used to playing there again. I heard from my friends last week that GM Cliff Fletcher and coach Ron Wilson were talking about me at center. We'll see. A lot can happen in camp with the forward lines."

Nik Antropov missed Tuesday night's game with a knee injury, according to the Toronto Star. Antropov is listed as day-to-day and is needed back on the ice as he scored 56 points over 72 games this season.

TSN.ca confirms and earlier report that Nik Antropov is expected to play tonight against the Bruins. The addition of Sundin and Antropov to the lineup offers the Leafs some playoff hope.

Nik Antropov is expected to return to action Thursday night, this after it was thought he might have season ending knee surgery. The Leafs winger will see ice time in a big game, the second of back-to-back's against the Boston Bruins.

Nik Antropov may require surgery to correct his knee, according to The Toronto Star. Nik Antropov revealed Wednesday that knee surgery to repair torn cartilage could be in his future. He said, "I will try to skate this morning and see how it is. If it's not going to settle down, we might have minor surgery. It's not a big deal. It's not reconstructive; it would be minor surgery." Antropov notably twisted his knee Saturday night against Buffalo. He wouldn't say which knee was hurt. Antropov scored 52 points in 70 games this season.

Toronto's Nik Antropov left Saturday's game with a knee injury, according to the Toronto Star, and followed that up with a short practice session on Monday. Antropov lasted only three minutes in practice on Monday but the team still won't say whether the knee injury is a sprain or a bruise. Regardless, Antropov won't play Tuesday versus the Islanders. This proposes a personnel problem for the Maple Leafs. With Mats Sundin also out with a groin, the team will be without their top two scorers.

Nik Antropov left Saturday's game with a strained knee and did not return, according to the Toronto Star. He'll probably will be re-examined in a couple of days after the swelling goes down to determine a timeline for his return.

Nik Antropov scored two goals on Thursday night to extend his goal scoring streak to three games. Antropov already has career best numbers with 26 goals, 52 points and 11 power-play tallies in a fantastic all around season for the Leafs.

Nik Antropov scored the only goal for the Maple Leafs in Tuesday’s 4-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils. The Leafs remain six points out of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.

Nik Antropov scored the game winning goal at 1:02 of the OT to lift the Leafs to a 3-2 victory over the Wings. After scoring eight goals in his first 13 games, Antropov has skidded to just 10 goals in his last 27 games with only four in his last 23 games.

Nik Antropov received two game misconduct penalties during Thursday's game. The second of which was for abuse of an official, which carries an automatic three-game suspension. He's been having a nice season, with 18 goals and 41 points, but you can keep him out of your lineups for the Maple Leafs' next three contests.

Nik Antropov picked up two points, both on the power play, in Saturday's win over Buffalo. He's now up to 18-21-39 trhough 48 games, shaking out of the slump he was dealing with a week or two ago. It also appears he's fine after taking a puck off his foot earlier in the week.
