Andrei Markov was all over the box score in Tuesday's overtime victory at Toronto. He scored his sixth goal of the year, was plus-2, had three shots, and picked up eight penalty minutes. Markov's been asked to take a more offensive role with Sheldon Souray gone, and he's clearly up to the task (6-9-15 through 17 games).

Andrei Markov will call Montreal home for the next four seasons after agreeing to a new four-year contract on Monday. The deal is worth $23 million, according to the AP. He accumulated six goals and 43 assists last season.
