Martin Havlat is going to be examined by the Blackhawks' team doctors next week in Chicago, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The news was bad for Martin Havlat and his injured left shoulder on Wednesday. The Chicago winger will have surgery today and miss at least the next four months. This is the third shoulder surgery Havlat has undergone in his NHL career and the problem appears to be chronic. Havlat scored 27 points in 35 games this season, but the 26-year-old seemingly can't stay on ice.

The Blackhawks will determine this week whether Martin Havlat's shoulder injury is of the season-ending variety, according to the AP. We're betting that Havlat is done, but we'll let you know what the Blackhawks decide.
