Samuel Pahlsson is battling an abdominal strain and is not currently traveling with the Ducks, the AP reports. He's a checking-line forward at this point in his career, with just seven points in 33 games this season.

Samuel Pahlsson was not available for the first two games of the NHL season over the weekend. In fact, he expects to remain sidelined for another week, according to the LA Times. He's still working his way back from hernia surgery, so the Ducks will remain cautious with his return to avoid a setback.

Samuel Pahlsson is expected to be sidelined for three to five weeks after undergoing hernia surgery, the team told the AP on Thursday. The Ducks are scheduled to open training camp on Tuesday. He logged 12 points in the playoffs last year after accumulating only 26 points during the regular season.
