Dominik Hasek recorded his second shutout in three nights Friday, stopping all 21 shots in a 3-0 win over Nashville. Hasek has not allowed a goal in 153 minutes and 28 seconds, in part because the Detroit defense has done such an outstanding job protectng him (he didn't even face a first-period shot Wednesday against Edmonton).

Dominik Hasek will probably get the start Saturday at Edmonton, aftet Chris Osgood was pulled one period into Thursday's loss at San Jose. Hasek didn't dress Thursday as the Red Wings have apparently decided to use Joey MacDonald as the No. 2 goalie when Osgood starts.

The Red Wings signed Dominik Hasek to a one-year deal Monday, according to ESPN.com. Hasek posted a 28-10-4 record, 2.09 goals against average and .925 save percentage last year while playing for the Senators. A groin injury forced Hasek to miss the playoffs. This is Hasek's third tour of duty with Detroit.

Dominik Hasek wants to return to the Senators next season and says that he will be "in 100 percent health," but he isn't sure the team wants him back, according to the Ottawa Citizen. Coach Bryan Murray previously indicated it was probably time for the team to move on without Hasek. A six-time Vezina Trophy winner, Hasek had a 2.09 goals-against-average in 43 games for the Senators this year.

The Ottawa Citizen reports that Dominik Hasek was on the ice for just a few minutes at the Senators' morning skate on Thursday before leaving the ice and shedding his goalie gear. "I went out on the ice and it didn't feel comfortable," Hasek said later. "I've been working out non-stop for two weeks, so I probably needed a day off. We'll see how it feels tomorrow." Hasek is shooting to return for the regular season finale, but there's no guarantee that will happen.

Dominik Hasek wore full gear yesterday and took shots from teammates, according to the Buffalo News. "I didn't quite feel comfortable with everything," Hasek said. "I wanted to stay out there a little longer and take some shots, but I'm still having a little trouble going up and down. My goal now is to start practicing with the team a little more in the next few days, and hopefully that goes well. I don't want to get into putting any time on [when I'd return to games]."

Senators GM John Muckler rejected a report in the Ottawa Sun that Dominik Hasek would not return from his groin injury this season, according to the CP. "We've had a plan right since Dom got injured," Muckler said. "The plan is to have Dom 100 percent and when he's 100 percent he will come back and he will play in the playoffs." Hasek skated in pads Thursday but there is no timetable set for his return.
