Dominik Hasek will start Friday against Minnesota, although the plan for the next few weeks is for Hasek and Chris Osgood to split time. The Red Wings have nine games in the next 16 days coming up.

Dominik Hasek kicked out 15 of 16 shots at Montreal Tuesday, earning his first victory since Nov. 9. It was his first start between the pipes in 12 days.

Dominik Hasek has struggled to a 5-5-1 record and a .864 save percentage. He'll try to step things up when he makes his first start in 12 days Monday night, according to the Detroit Free Press. Hasek was slowed by an injury early on, then by Chris Osgood's unexpectedly hot play, but it would be surprising if he doesn't get going sooner or later.

Dominik Hasek stopped 26 of 29 shots in Thursday's loss at Nashville. With Chris Osgood rolling along at 10-1, it's very possible the Red Wings will go back to Osgood Saturday against Columbus. Hasek is now 5-5-1 on the season.

Dominik Hasek tested his sore hip in practice on Saturday. Things went well enough that he's expected to be available for Wednesday's game, according to the Detroit Free Press. It's not clear yet whether he or Chris Osgood will start that game, but since Ozzy's been red hot, the Wings may opt to give Hasek a little extra time to rest up.

An MRI on Dominik Hasek's sore hip didn't reveal anything of significance. He won't be ready to play on Sunday due to the injury, according to the Detroit Free Press. While it's possible he could get into a game while the Red Wings are traveling, it's possible he won't suit up again until their next home game Nov. 7.

Dominik Hasek agreed to a one-year contract with the Red Wings on Friday. The deal is worth $2 million in base pay with an additional $2 million in incentives, according to ESPN.com. Hasek, who claims this will be the final year of his career, logged a 38-11-6 record with a 2.05 goals against average last season.

The Dominator has been healthy thus far, but you can expect the Wings to be extremely cautious with his return to action. "He saw a specialist yesterday and there's some swelling there," coach Mike Babcock said. "He immobilized it for a couple days." With Chris Osgood also sidelined, Joey MacDonald will start between the pipes.
