Blues defenseman Barret Jackman scored a goal in the team's 5-2 win over Nashville, but had to leave the game in the second period after taking a skate to the groin, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Barret Jackman singed a contract extension on Monday to stay with the Blues, this according to the AP. Financial terms were not disclosed. Barret has been a staple on the blue line for the Blues since his rookie season, president John Davidson said. He logs plenty of minutes per game and will continue to be a key part of our team as we move forward. Jackman has been relatively healthy this season skating in 58 games, though he is only of fantasy value thanks to his PIM total (63), but even that number isn't great.
