In his first start after missing seven weeks of action with a broken right thumb, Ryan Miller stopped 33 of 34 shots and several more in a shootout to lift the Sabres over the Flyers on Monday night.

Ryan Miller has ended his rehab assignment in the AHL and rejoined the Sabres, according to the Buffalo News. The Sabres aren't sure when he will return to the crease for them. "He's not far away. He played real well his last game with Rochester," coach Lindy Ruff said. "We want to keep him practicing here with the NHL shooters and just address it day after day. But I think he's knocking on the door right now, and when he is (ready) we'll have to make a decision."

Ryan Miller, who is recovering from a broken right thumb, will begin a rehab assignment with Rochester of the AHL, according to the AP. Miller was examined Thursday in Buffalo and cleared to play. He is expected to be in goal for the Americans on Friday when they host Houston.
