Ryan Miller might take his first game of the season off Monday. Miller was back in Michigan Sunday to attend a memorial service for his cousin, according to the Buffalo News. He should be with the Sabres for the game, but it appears likely that coach Lindy Ruff will give Jocelyn Thibault his first start.

Ryan Miller will yield to backup goalie Martin Biron tonight, and Biron could get the start again Thursday, according to the Buffalo News. Miller has just an .859 save percentage over his last four games. "He needs two or three real good practice days where he just gets back to what I call a relaxed comfort zone," coach Lindy Ruff said. "He seems like he's been uptight. He's put a lot of pressure on himself, which he usually does."
